The night in Fogtown is thick with shadows, the air heavy with an eerie silence. Dim street lamps struggle against the consuming darkness, their weak halos barely illuminating the damp pavement. Rows of old houses stand still and lifeless, their windows dark or faintly aglow with an unsettling warmth. A single car sits parked on the lonely road, its presence almost too still, as if abandoned in haste or waiting for something unseen. The fog moves sluggishly through the streets, swallowing shapes and distorting reality, blurring the edges of what is there and what only seems to be. The town feels frozen in time, as though it exists on the cusp of something unknown, something just beyond the veil of the night.
