I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and have lived in County Kerry, Ireland, since 2001. Inspired by the ever-changing Irish light and stunning coastal landscapes, I transitioned from a career as a Town and Regional Planner to focus on my passion for art and photography. My work often reinterprets my photographic captures of waterscapes and natural scenes through painting, allowing for a creative expression beyond the limits of photography. I primarily use quick-drying oil paints on canvas or board and enjoy the rich, tactile qualities of oil pastels. My goal is to explore and capture the beauty of the Irish environment while pushing creative boundaries through new themes and techniques
