When you live near LimI saw this moment during a Bealtaine Festival in Ireland: a child dressed up, face painted, standing happily beside a goat. It made me think about the animal side of being human.We often talk about our “bestial” nature as something negative—linked to power, domination, or losing control. But in this scene it felt completely different. Here it was playful, innocent, and joyful.Goaty reflects on that connection between humans and animals, seen through the lighthearted world of childhood.
