My inspiration comes from the intrinsic possibilities of the materials I use, but is also deeply rooted in the local and natural environment. I find Torc Waterfall in Killarney a special place of intense beauty. In this silk painting I have tried to capture the powerful, cascading  water crashing onto the rocks below. Sunlight glistening on the spray creates a magical, surreal effect. Painting on silk allows me to capture the essence of the scene before me.
